Providing public access lifesaving equipment
Our mission
Defibrillators are devices that apply an electric charge or current to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. The defibrillators in the Seven Bays area, which stretches from Porthcothan to Trevone, are available for public use in the event of emergency.
Providing lifesaving care, defibrillators need to be checked regularly and require annual maintenance. The Seven Bays Support Organisation is a charity that raises funds to keep our local defibrillators operational in case of an accident or emergency.
Anyone can use a defibrillator to save a life, as the machine provides instruction on use and only works when an irregular heartbeat is detected.
The Seven Bays: Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivey’s Bay, Harlyn and Trevone.
